Christmas Movies Checklist and Popcorn ideas
It’s about this time every year when I am checked out and ready to take on all things holiday and relaxation! I wanted to share some of our favorite Christmas movies that we love to watch as well as some themed popcorn ideas that I think you guys will love! It’s also this time of year that we usually start to host fun craft nights or movie nights in our house which are some of my favorite things about Christmas, being together with friends and family, yummy food and if you know ANYTHING about me, a good theme! If you’re looking to impress your friends and family with dishes that are both delicious and can easily be made gluten-free, you’re in for a treat with these options! Christmas flavors that stick out to me are peppermint, chocolatey goodness, sprinkles and cinnamon! The popcorn ideas below all have one or more of those in them and I can’t wait to get to trying them! I will stop yapping now, happy reading!
Christmas Crunch
1/2 cup (104g) popcorn kernels*
1 (12 oz) bag Vanilla Candy Melts(such as Wilton Candy Melts)
1 1/2 cups (75g) broken pretzel pieces or baby pretzels
1 (10 oz) bag** green and red Milk Chocolate or Mint M&Ms
Christmas sprinkles
White Chocolate Puffcorn
6.5 ounces (2 bags total) puff corn Chester's, butter flavor
8 ounces almond bark
10 ounces white chocolate
sprinkles optional
Peppermint bark popcorn
Recipe by Kitchen Fun With my 3 Sons
7 ounces pre popped kettle corn
½ cup chocolate chips melted
½ cup white chocolate chips melted
½ teaspoon peppermint extract divided
1 teaspoon coconut oil divided
½ cup crushed peppermint candy
Sprinkles
Gingerbread popcorn
3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
½ cup popcorn kernels
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoons ground ginger
Hot honey popcorn
8-10 cups popped corn
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
Christmas movies and popcorn just seem like they go hand in hand and it’s hard to have one without the other around this time of year. I love making popcorn to munch on or even give as a gift for neighbors! I really want to try the Hot Honey Popcorn and White Chocolate Puffcorn has been a staple in my family since I can remember!
