DIY Cinnamon Spray
How to make cinnamon fragrance for a fall smell that fills your heart as well as your house.
Hi friends!
As you know, fall is my favorite time of year. What that means to me is the smell of cinnamon and visions of pumpkins dancing in my head.
I wanted to share my favorite DIY cinnamon fragrance for your living spaces or even to make your own cinnamon brooms, pinecones, or pompous grass.
Distilled Water
¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
7 drops cinnamon Essential oil (see a recipe below if you dont have this around the house)
5 drops vanilla Essential oil (optional)
Viola! Throw this in a spray bottle and you can spray it on anything you want year round!
Note!! There is oil in this so swear clear of silks and suedes.
Don’t have cinnamon oil? I found a recipe on Instructables. See below:
Ingredients
Instructions
1. Place the cinnamon sticks in the mason jar.
2. Pour the olive oil into a jar, covering the cinnamon sticks. leave an inch of space from the top (Took a small bottle and a half to fill the jar).
3. Place the lid on the mason jar, shake it, and set it in a sunny spot for a few weeks.
4. Shake the mason jar a few times a day.
5. After 3 to 4 weeks remove the cinnamon sticks with your fingers or strain with a cheese cloth.
6. The cinnamon sticks should have released their oils and be ready to use.
Much Love,
