Valentine’s/ Galentine’s Day Board

Here is something you may or may not know about me…..I love creating these kinds of boards even when it’s not a traditional charcuterie board with meats and cheese.

I love the conversation that they start at a get-together or gathering. They are the perfect centerpiece and give your gathering a special little something!

Now, lets talk a little about this board. You can make this for a Valentine’s Day Celebration or a Galentine’s party with your girls. The great thing about this recipe is that you can scale it up to a full grazing table or even take it down a notch for a fun date night in idea.

For a date night with your S.O. (Significant Other), you could have a movie night {or if you are anything like my hubs an I we like to play Mario Party} with popcorn, this board and some other snacks that you can munch on throughout the movie or game!

It’s such an easy way to create something special for you two to enjoy! If you are going the Galentine’s Day route then pop the bubbly and enjoy a little grazing situation after brunch!

Feeling proud after making this board….. but also more excited to dive in after the photo sesh.

Valentine’s Day Board “Recipe”

  • Sour Patch Kids Hearts

  • Classic Tiny Conversation Hearts

  • Twizzlers bites

  • Starburst Heart Shaped Jelly Beans

  • Dove Hearts

  • Peanut m&ms {pink, red, and white of course}

  • Cinnamon Lips

  • Strawberries

  • Gluten Free Brownie Bites

  • …anything else your heart desires!

So when it comes to directions for creating this really there is no “one size fits all”. You just get to grab your favorite cutting board, platter, or tray and go to town. Now, If you are feeling a little lost or overwhelmed by this, here are some of my favorite tips: Grab a ramekin or 2, maybe a cute container, or as pictured above a heart shaped cookie cutter. Place them randomly on the board and pick an item to fill each. Next think about creating a few piles of items and placing those, then finally, fill the holes. One of my favorite tips is creating a few “waves” through the board to add some finesse.

I mention this all of the time when I create these types of boards that there are literally no rules, you can’t mess it up! You get to do whatever you want and nobody is going to critique you because it is exactly how you intended it to be! Sο I hope you enjoy this post and of course as always if you have any questions let me know, I would be so happy to answer them!

We used strawberries in this board, but you can use any fruit you desire. Blueberries, raspberries, or leave the fruit out entirely.

ok, ok. I’m a sucker for Gummy lips.

Peep those cookie cutters I was telling you about in the recipe.
