Winter Inspired Charcuterie Board

As we are in the thick of winter, get togethers and having people over seem like the best way to distract ourselves from the cold weather. From snowy days and cozy nights to festive get togethers, a Winter Inspired Charcuterie Board is the perfect addition to any party! Below I am sharing the ingredients I would put on a wintery themed charcuterie board as well as a few tricks that I like to use when I am assembling a board around this time of year.

Some tips!

  • Pepperoni Ribbons - just grab a few slices of pepperoni and fold them in half. Then, use toothpicks to hold them together, stacking them in a way that creates a fun, ribbon-like shape. You can bend them slightly to make them look even more decorative, and it’ll make for a super cute snack platter addition!

  • Salami Rose - which is a technique that I have done on many of my boards, you just need salami and a small glass! Start by taking a slice of salami and folding it in half. Then, roll it tightly from the edge and keep rolling until you have a rose shape. You can tuck the edges in to make it look fuller, and voilà—you’ve got a fancy, tasty rose to impress your friends!

  • Small Bowls - Use small bowls to put the messier items in. I use small ramekins or bowls for things like Blue Cheese Stuffed Almonds, Salted Comuna Valencia Almonds, Chocolate Covered Almonds, or jams if the jar it comes in is too large for your board!

I love making these boards and there are a ton of other blog posts here on my website to help you out but if you are new to making boards then I suggest hopping over to Pinterest to get some inspiration on just how you want it to look. There are also some great books out there such as Platters and Boards by Shelly Westerhausen Worcel ot Graze by Suzanne Lenzer. What looks the like yummiest thing on this board?
